We are Tom, Caspar and Casper. We believe healthy, affordable food should be the standard, not something you have to set aside an evening or a chunk of money for. That’s why we’re in the kitchen ourselves, every day.

Amsterdam is a great city to be busy in. You work, you train, you meet up, and suddenly it’s half past seven. At that point you really have three options: cook with an empty fridge, order delivery you’ll regret an hour later, or pasta with pesto yet again. We did that ourselves for years, and it just didn’t add up. We train seriously, we watch what we eat, and still our weekday dinners were the worst meals of our week.
What bothered us most: the healthy option was always the expensive option. A proper, complete meal quickly cost fifteen or twenty euros, and everything below that was full of things you don’t need. We thought that was the wrong way around.
Caspar has a bowel disease. Very concretely, that means he notices exactly what’s in his food, and that ready-made products with half a chemistry set of additives can cost him days. So we didn’t start cooking unprocessed food for marketing reasons, but because one of the three of us simply has no other choice.
That has only made our food better. We cook with whole products: vegetables, legumes, meat or fish, herbs, good oil. No flavour enhancers, no packets, no sauces from a bucket. If you see a dish on our menu, it contains exactly what you think it does. For every dish we show the nutritional values and the allergens, so you never have to guess.
We wanted a place you can walk into without thinking, where it’s always right. That’s the whole idea.
One dish a day. A different one every day. Healthy, fresh and ready when you walk in. That’s all it is, and that’s deliberate. By making just one thing we can make it well, buy exactly enough, and throw away almost nothing at the end of the evening. That same simplicity is why a hap can cost €8.99 instead of double.
We cook in the morning and blast chill everything straight after. That sounds unromantic, but it is the other way around: food that sits under a heat lamp for hours only gets worse. Chilling it fast holds on to the flavour, the colour and the texture. So your hap comes chilled, with reheating advice that differs per dish, because one wants the oven and the other the pan. That advice comes with your order. In a hurry, or want to eat right away? We will heat it up for you at the counter.
You can order ahead on the site, and your hap is guaranteed to be ready when you walk in with your pickup number. You can also just drop by and take one away, while stocks last.
There’s no ordering deadline. We cook until it’s gone, and then it’s gone.
A complete meal with plenty of protein, vegetables and fibre. Not as a special option, but simply as what’s on that day.
Whole products, cut and cooked by us. No flavour enhancers or ready-made sauces. Nutritional values and allergens listed with every dish.
€8.99 for a full box. One dish a day keeps the kitchen simple, and that simplicity isn’t on your bill.
Cooked in the morning and chilled straight after, because that keeps it at its best. You get reheating advice with it, or we heat it up for you at the counter.
See what’s on the menu, order ahead or walk in between 17:00 and 20:30. Sunday to Friday, on Saturday we are closed.
